Your portfolio is one of the most important and personal things in your life. You depend upon it for the safety of your present, your future, your family and children. That's why choosing a manager to help you navigate the ever-changing waters of investing is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make.
You are like no other investor. When we work with you, we strive to develop an investment strategy that's a unique reflection of you: your goals, your stage in life, your need for liquidity and your tolerance for risk. Once we know who you are and understand your goals, we enable you to make better choices along the way—to get you to where you want to go, safely.
Our Philosophy:
Our investment philosophy is rooted in modern portfolio theory and is driven by two primary strategies: diversification and disciplined management.
We manage your portfolio for the long term, keeping an eye on trends and events to make the most of opportunities and avoid pitfalls; however, because we take a disciplined approach, we won't necessarily recommend following the crowd. Rather, we dedicate ourselves to making certain our investment strategies are always aimed toward achieving your goals.
We believe that asset allocation is the most important strategy, significantly more important than market timing or the selection of specific managers or securities. To that end, we work carefully to develop weights and ranges among publicly traded equities, fixed income assets, cash and equivalents, and alternative investments; both foreign and domestic.

Time Proven Process
Flexibilty: We will work with you to achieve a balanced portfolio based on your time horizon, your tolerance for risk, your spending needs, any significant liquidity events, and your long-term return objectives.
Risk vs. Return: In developing your portfolio, we may start with your desired return level, then solve for the lowest level of risk. Or we may decide to create safe and steady income for your future by using low risk assets. In either case, it all begins with you, a review of your goals, your tolerance, your needs.
History vs. The Future: While we look at history as a starting place, we know that it's more important to adjust our expectations to reflect the current state of the market and the world and to make some logical assumptions about the future, so that your (and our) expectations are realistic and achievable.
Opportunity: As active managers, we believe we can add incremental value by taking advantage of shorter-term opportunities. Our TWA Tactical Asset Allocation Model™ seeks to capitalize on select opportunities for your portfolio, presented by broad investment themes, macro trends and shorter-term market disruptions.
Building your Portfolio: In developing your plan, we use a powerful set of sophisticated tools. Our portfolio management team then implements your portfolio using in-house resources such as our TWA Core Portfolio and outside resources such as top-caliber mutual funds and Exchange-Traded Funds. This open architecture allows us to use top outside talent to manage pieces of your portfolio, best-in-breed managers who specialize in making the most of opportunities in their respective areas of expertise.
